Long story short, I noticed the IP Address on my rooted Samsung Galaxy SII (Sprint) as reported in

IP address

were different from the IP address reported back by using www.IPMonkey.com
I have no way of confirming this other than walking you through the steps I took to notice this issue and hopefully some of you will check and either confirm/deny that this is an issue.
I've had 3 of my friends do this, two verizon users IP address came back as being registered from IANA whereas my friend who is on Sprint and has been into bitcoins for a while also has the same issue with being routed through DoD.
My girlfriend's phone who does not use bitcoins, who is also on Sprint, but not rooted can not confirm this on her phone. She receives a message stating the IP Address is unavailable through the settings of her phone.
I did a WHOIS search on both IP addresses.
The first IP (on my phone settings) came back with these results :

I have had other friends with rooted phones look into this, and so far I've only been able to find evidence of this for fellow bitcoiner Sprint users with rooted phones only.
I don't have a large pool of tech savvy people that can check this sort of thing out for themselves, but I implore you to check your phone and report any odd results here.
I don't know what this means, I suspect it means my phone is being routed through DoD, but I have no idea why.
Tell me if I'm being dumb please. I would really like to hear some reason that can adequately explain why my phone is connecting directly to DoD servers, but not reporting as such from the internet directly.
