Is this a secure way of anonymizing bitcoin?

I was doing some research into Monero's anonymity & how the public ledger is obfuscated making it impossible to track the transaction history of a monero coin. However this gave my an idea, I've heard of bitcoin tumbling services before but I view this as encryption, makes it really hard but not impossible to track.
Lots of coin to coin exchanges don't require an account, so you could in theory have 2 bitcoin wallets & 1 monero wallet. Over tor trade the bitcoin for monero, then on another separate exchange trade that monero back into new bitcoin fully destroying any link between the 2 currencies.
This would be a lot cheaper, secure, & faster then a tumbling service, however I am not a professional in this field, just a security conscious geek. What are your thoughts on this, & is this a sound method on anonymizing your bitcoin?

Anonymizing Bitcoin stored on a Trezor - tips and advice required

Hello,
I have some bitcoin stored on a Trezor hardware wallet for long-term storage. Most of it is in a 'legacy' account BTC address on the Trezor, and some of it is in a segwit account BTC address. I confess that in the past I have naively re-used the same addresses multiple times for sending to the Trezor, which I understand now is not advisable
I'm now wanting to achieve greater anonymity by moving all of my BTC off the Trezor to Wasabi, anonymizing it in Wasabi, and then transferring it all back to my Trezor for further long-term storage.
I suspect there are many others who have Trezors and who have heared about Wasabi wallet and will be thinking about doing this.
I also think I should start slowly with a small amount amount, say 0.2 BTC, until I get more confident with the Wasabi wallet as I don't want to make a mistake with my entire hodling.
Can someone offer me some tips about how to go about all this safely and securely, please?
Regards

Anonymizing bitcoins affordably?

I have seen many recommend using shapeshift.io together with xmr.to to anonymize Bitcoins. But I have read that one should expect fees and spread to eat up around 5% of total funds. That seems expensive to me.
Can I instead:
for a total of 0.3% fees

Anonymous Bitcoin Usage

I've seen a lot of information on anonymous usage of bitcoin, including this. I'm wondering if it's not fairly safe, for a low-volume (maybe only once) buying model, to:
  1. Buy paper wallet bitcoin from an ATM
  2. Sweep paper wallet into a software wallet (I was looking at Electrum)
  3. From Electrum, send to wherever I'm looking to spend (with VPN running)
I'm newer to this, so be gentle... What are the holes I'm missing? Is this fairly anonymous? I'm running on Windows 10.
edit: when I'm spending, I'm using VPN and tor
