BTCX India: Exchange issues

Hi. I just tried transferring the XRP I bought from BTCX India to Poloniex. I submitted a withdrawal request yesterday and provided my Polo wallet address. The amount shows as withdrawn from my BTCX India wallet but it has not yet been credited to Polo. I'm getting worried since it has been over 24 hours. BTCX India has not provided me with a clear transaction id or a hash. I tried calling them, mailing them, live support but no response. Anybody around here used BTCX India and faced issues? What do I do now?
Update: Got the XRP credited in my Polo account. Took T+2 days from transfer.

What have I done?!

EDIT It's alright my dear angelbabies, it's all good now! Thank you all for saving my ass! Keeping it up though if others need it. To get out this mess follow the instructions here:
https://github.com/OmniLayeomniwallet/wiki/Exporting-a-private-key-from-Bitcoin-QT-Bitcoin-core-and-Importing-to-Omniwallet.org
Or, well, you only really need to extract the private key, and then import in to whichever wallet yahwant! The private key doesn't need to start with a 5 though, it kinda confused me but it worked woohoo! EDIT
So I fucked up. Probably. And I need yall's help because I have no idea what to do.
Now, I know absolutely nothing about this whole thing BUT being the impulsive person I am I decided that I didn't need to know all of the details before buying bitcoin, the directions seemed simple enough. Well. Now I think I might have wasted my money.
So I downloaded bitcoin core as my wallet and bought bitcoins off of BTCX using the address generated by Core, right, and well, now it came to my attention that, shit, my wallet isn't ready to be used! It hasn't gotten synchronised! And to make matters worse, I have a very old computer and I don't have to much space, so it keeps running out of hard disk space. I read online that it will need 90GB until it's ready and my total space on my old lil' laptop is 118. So I think I have to change wallet, right?
Now, my question is, would the bitcoins I bought be lost now, since I gave the address for that wallet, or is my thinking all skewed about this? Wouldn't surprise me... What should I do?!
Thank you so much for anyone who's reading this, thank you even more for replying! :D

Need help!

I just posted this to Bitcoin as well, but maybe this subreddit is more appropriate for my level of expertise... which is Zero. Here's the copy paste!

How to handle a hard or soft fork?

In a few months how do I handle this situation with my bitcoins? My current thought is to hold them in a paper wallet. But after the split then what do I do? How do I get it out of a paper wallet and back onto a site like blockchain? Will my bitcoin and btcx just be there?
